The Suwon Agricultural Technology Center will operate a "Life Improvement Association Talent-Sharing Volunteer Service" from August through December with participation from Life Improvement Association members and citizens.

The volunteer activity involves preparing and sharing traditional foods using skills acquired through traditional culture education at the Suwon Agricultural Technology Center. Approximately 70 people, including Life Improvement Association members and Suwon residents, will participate across a total of five events.

The first activity held on the 20th at the Life Science Lab of the Suwon Agricultural Technology Center drew 20 participants who prepared fermented soy bean paste. The product will be distributed to 90 vulnerable households.

Following that, traditional foods will be delivered to a total of 510 households: △red chili paste to 90 households (September 11) △songpyeon for Chuseok to 120 households (September 14) △traditional steamed rice cake to 120 households (December 2) △red bean porridge for the Winter Solstice to 90 households (December 17).

An official from the Suwon Agricultural Technology Center said, "This is a meaningful activity where citizens share the skills they gained through traditional culture education with the local community," and added, "We will support citizens in channeling their acquired skills into community sharing."
