Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun: "Grateful to Parents' Support Group of Stubborn Frog Classroom, a Successful Model of Specialized Education"

Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun said, "I am grateful to the members of the Stubborn Frog Classroom Parents' Support Group who have dedicated themselves to the creative growth of elementary school students at the frontlines of school education."

At a workshop for the Stubborn Frog Classroom Parents' Support Group held at Suwon Youth Hostel on the 22nd, Mayor Lee said, "Thanks to the exceptional dedication of the parents' support group and customized classes, the classroom has gained support from schools, students, and parents alike," and added, "I will spare no effort in supporting the Stubborn Frog Classroom to firmly establish itself as a successful model of Suwon-style specialized education."

The workshop was organized to encourage the parents' support group members working at schools and to explore sustainable development plans among support groups. About 150 members of the Stubborn Frog Classroom Parents' Support Group, who are active in customized specialized fields by grade level at elementary schools, attended.

On this day, parents' support groups by field attended, including △Ecological Environment (Grade 1) 35 members △Artificial Intelligence (AI) Robots (Grade 2) 36 members △Culture and Arts (Grade 3) 41 members △Coding Drones (Grade 4) 33 members △Global Citizenship (Grade 5) 15 members △Artificial Intelligence (AI) Convergence (Grade 6) 18 members, and shared field activity experiences and operational know-how.

The workshop proceeded through five themes: 'Achievement-Up,' 'Competency-Up,' 'Tension-Up,' 'Mindset-Up,' and 'Atmosphere-Up.' An expert special lecture on enhancing the instructional capacity of the parents' support group (engagement techniques to increase youth concentration) was well-received.

A 'Team Building Recreation' session was also held to strengthen exchanges and fellowship among parents' support group members. Mayor Lee delivered remarks and participated in an icebreaker program, communicating with the parents' support group.

The Stubborn Frog Classroom parent instructors are parents who completed the 'DODO Project' instructor training program. They teach in 'Suwon-style Specialized Classrooms' (Ecological Environment, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Robots, Culture and Arts, Coding Drones, Global Citizenship, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Convergence).
