Hwaseong Special Metropolitan City Dongtan District Hosts First Zone Concert 'RE:WIND Dance Night!' to Enthusiastic Crowds

Hwaseong Special Metropolitan City's Dongtan District successfully concluded its first zone concert 'RE:WIND Dance Night!' held on the 22nd at Dongtan Yeoul Park's soccer field, receiving enthusiastic response from citizens.

This concert was the first zone concert held since the launch of the four-district system in February of this year, and was designed to allow citizens to enjoy cultural performances in their daily lives and enable diverse generations to come together harmoniously.

The 120-minute event, which began at 7 p.m., filled not only the 3,000-seat seating area but also standing sections with citizens, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Families, friends, and neighbors gathered in one place to share meaningful moments of intergenerational empathy and communication through music. Dongtan Yeoul Park was filled with laughter and cheers from citizens of all ages.

The performance opened refreshingly with the clear and hopeful harmonies of the local children's choir 'Singing Angels.' Popular artists Cleo and Kim Hyun-jung followed with an energetic stage featuring familiar hit songs, and when Lee Jae-hun (COOL) passionately sang his signature songs, the audience erupted in unison with cheers. Citizens enjoyed the summer night festival by singing along to the songs.

Hwaseong Special Metropolitan City Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun stated, "It is all the more meaningful that so many citizens participated in this first zone concert held in Dongtan District since the launch of the four-district system." He added, "Seeing citizens of all generations enjoying music together and communicating in vibrant and dynamic Dongtan made me feel once again the bright future and possibilities of Dongtan."

He continued, "We will expand opportunities for citizens to enjoy high-quality performances and culture close to their daily lives so they feel 'it was the right choice to live in Dongtan,' and we will prepare various cultural events that showcase Dongtan's unique vitality and characteristics."

Dongtan District Office Chief Hwang Guk-hwan said, "I am grateful to all citizens who created this special summer evening together." He added, "Going forward, we will listen to the voices of residents and create a cultural space where everyone of all ages can come together."
