Gyeonggi Province and Gyeonggi Social Economy Institute Hold 'Gyeonggi Better Consumption Festival' at Starfield

Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Social Economy Institute will hold the '2026 Gyeonggi Better Consumption Festival' at four Starfield locations starting from the 21st to expand sales channels for social economy organizations and promote value-based consumption.

The detailed schedule includes △August 21-23 at Suwon location △August 28-30 at Hanam location △September 4-6 at Anseong location △September 11-13 at Goyang location, with 104 social economy organizations from the province participating.

During the festival period, in addition to selling products from social economy organizations such as food, household goods, and handicrafts, family-oriented cultural performances, roulette events, wafer keychain making, and bingo games will be held at each location.

This festival is sponsored by Starfield (Shinsegae Property), and part of the sales revenue will be donated to Gyeonggi Love's Fruits to create a virtuous cycle of social value where consumer purchases lead to community donations.

Nam Yang-ho, director of the Gyeonggi Social Economy Institute, said, "Through cooperation between public institutions and private distribution companies, we will connect social economy organization products with actual consumption spaces and support new sales channels." He added, "We hope that the Better Consumption Festival will provide an opportunity for consumers to naturally encounter social economy products and experience value-based consumption in their daily lives."

Meanwhile, in last year's Better Consumption Festival, a total of 127 social economy organizations participated, achieving approximately 160 million won in sales.
