Osan City and Green Umbrella Sign MOU for Healthy Child Development
Osan City (Mayor Jo Yong-ho) announced on the 18th that it signed a business agreement with Green Umbrella at the mayor's office to promote healthy growth and welfare enhancement for local children.
The signing ceremony was attended by Osan City Mayor Jo Yong-ho, Green Umbrella Chairman Hwang Young-gi, Green Umbrella Gyeonggi Region 1 Headquarters Director Yeo In-mi, and singer Andy, a Green Umbrella promotional ambassador.
This agreement was prepared to provide necessary support to children facing economic hardships. Green Umbrella pledged sponsorship of 170 million won for Osan-area children.
The sponsorship funds are scheduled to be used for providing supplies to nine community child centers within the city and supporting vulnerable children.
Green Umbrella Chairman Hwang Young-gi stated, "With this agreement as an opportunity, we will cooperate with Osan City so that local children can receive necessary assistance," and added, "We will continue our support so that children can grow up healthily."
Osan City Mayor Jo Yong-ho said, "For children to grow in a stable environment, interest and cooperation from the local community are needed," and stated, "We will work together to ensure that necessary support continues for children in need."
Meanwhile, Green Umbrella is promoting child welfare projects that support healthy child development, and has provided approximately 600 million won to 461 Osan-area children over the past two years.
