Guri City Saemaul Association Concludes '2026 Saemaul Leaders Capacity Enhancement Training'

[News S=Reporter Um In-yong] The Guri City Saemaul Association (Chairman An Jeong-seop) held the '2026 Saemaul Leaders Capacity Enhancement Training' from the 10th to 11th over one night and two days at Hyundai Suri Resort in Sokcho City, Gangwon Province.

The training was attended by approximately 250 people, including Guri City Saemaul Leaders Chairman An Jeong-seop, Saemaul members, and heads of local institutions and organizations.

The event was organized to boost pride and morale among Saemaul leaders who have dedicated themselves to community development and revitalization of the Saemaul Movement.

The program included a special lecture by Guri City Mayor Shin Dong-hwa, commendation awards for outstanding leaders who contributed to Saemaul Movement revitalization, group discussions by district and case presentations, and talent and singing competitions.

Chairman An Jeong-seop stated, "The Guri City Saemaul Association of today exists because of Saemaul leaders who work hard and serve dedicatedly throughout our community," and continued, "I hope this training becomes a meaningful time to reflect on the value of the Saemaul Movement and jointly explore the new direction the Saemaul Association will take going forward."

Guri City Mayor Shin Dong-hwa said, "I sincerely thank the Saemaul leaders for silently serving as a steadfast pillar of our community," and added, "Through this training, I hope to elevate the leaders' capacity to the next level, and I ask that the Saemaul Association take the lead in creating a 'bold Guri City that shines brightly' in the future."
