Guri City Saemaul Association Completes '2026 Saemaul Leaders Capacity-Building Training Camp'
[News S=Reporter Eom In-yong] The Guri City Saemaul Association (Chairman An Jung-seop) held the '2026 Saemaul Leaders Capacity-Building Training Camp' from the 10th to the 11th for one night and two days at Hyundai Suri Resort in Sokcho, Gangwon Province.
The training camp was attended by approximately 250 people, including Guri City Saemaul Leaders Chairman An Jung-seop, Saemaul members, and heads of local institutions and organizations.
The event was organized to boost pride and morale among Saemaul leaders who have dedicated themselves to community development and revitalization of the Saemaul movement.
The program included a special lecture by Guri Mayor Shin Dong-hwa, commendation awards for outstanding leaders who contributed to Saemaul movement revitalization, small group discussions and case presentations by district, as well as talent and singing contests.
Chairman An Jung-seop said, "I believe that the current Guri City Saemaul Association exists because of many Saemaul leaders who work with dedication throughout our community. I hope this training camp becomes a meaningful time to reflect on the values of the Saemaul movement and to jointly explore the new direction that the Saemaul Association will take in the future."
Guri Mayor Shin Dong-hwa said, "I sincerely appreciate the dedication of Saemaul leaders who have served quietly and steadily as a reliable support for our community. Through this training camp, I hope to elevate the capacity of our leaders to the next level, and I ask that Saemaul take the lead in creating a 'Bold Challenge, Shining Guri City' going forward."
