Suwon Cultural Foundation announced on the 21st that it has begun ticket sales for viewing seats at Hwaseo Gate and the guided tour program ‘Light of Hwaseong’ for the ‘2026 Suwon Hwaseong Media Art’ event.

The ‘2026 Suwon Hwaseong Media Art’ is an 18-day evening media art festival running from September 19 to October 6 in the area around Hwaseo Gate, Jangan Gate, and Jangan Park of Suwon Hwaseong. It offers a contemporary reinterpretation of the spirit with which King Jeongjo received distinguished guests with courtesy.

The Hwaseo Gate viewing seats are located for close viewing of the main performance ‘Light of Connections’. Seats are available on weekends and holidays for 5,000 won per person, and free on weekdays on a first-come, first-served basis. Family zones and wheelchair-accessible seats are operated separately.

‘Light of Hwaseong’ is a program where visitors enjoy the history of Suwon Hwaseong and media art works accompanied by cultural tourism guides. It costs 10,000 won per person on weekends and 5,000 won on weekdays, and is open to children from third grade of elementary school and above. This year, guided tours in English, Chinese, and Japanese will also be newly offered.

Tickets can be purchased in advance on Naver starting from the 21st.
