The Suwon Culture Foundation announced on the 21st that it has begun selling tickets for Hwaseomun viewing seats for ‘2026 Suwon Hwaseong Media Art’ and the guided tour program ‘Light of Hwaseong.’

‘2026 Suwon Hwaseong Media Art’ is an 18-day nighttime media art festival running from September 19 to October 6 in the areas of Suwon Hwaseong's Hwaseomun Gate, Jangan Gate, and Jangan Park. It is a contemporary reinterpretation of the spirit in which King Jeongjo welcomed distinguished guests with courtesy.

The Hwaseomun viewing seats offer seating to view the main performance ‘Light of Connection’ up close. On weekends and public holidays, admission is 5,000 won per person, while weekday admission is free on a first-come, first-served basis. A family zone and wheelchair-accessible seating are operated separately.

‘Light of Hwaseong’ is a program where visitors appreciate the history of Suwon Hwaseong and media art works alongside cultural tourism guides. Tickets are 10,000 won per person on weekends and 5,000 won on weekdays, with participation available for elementary school students in third grade and above. This year, guided tours in English, Chinese, and Japanese will newly be offered.

Tickets can be purchased in advance on Naver starting from the 21st.
