Anseong City held the "2026 Anseong Middle-Aged Happy Campus Second-Half Entrance Ceremony" on the 20th at the International Convention Center on the second floor of Hankyong National University's AI Future Hall and announced that it will begin full operation of education programs for middle-aged adults in the second half of the year.

The entrance ceremony was attended by approximately 160 people, including Anseong Mayor Kim Bo-ra, Hankyong National University President Kim Chan-ki, Anseong City Council Speaker Ban In-sook, students, and related government officials. The event proceeded with opening remarks and introduction of guests, welcoming and congratulatory addresses, group photos of students and current students, an introduction to the Happy Campus, and an introductory lecture.

For the second half of this year, 180 people have enrolled in 11 regular programs. In particular, the city expanded programs for practical competency development such as acquiring certifications, learning specialized skills, and strengthening digital capabilities, going beyond hobby and cultural education.

Certification programs include △Spoon Nanta Instructor Level 1 △Business Catering Chef △Elderly Cognitive Training Instructor Level 1 △Book Play Instructor Level 2. Additionally, through the △Coffee Machine Repair Technician course, participants learn the structure and practical field repair of semi-automatic espresso machines, and education programs that can be applied to daily life and culture such as △Slow Aging Recipe △Vocal Training △Anseong Cultural Artisan Class are also offered.

In particular, this year, to strengthen AI utilization capabilities as a key city policy direction, AI education for middle-aged adults has been newly introduced. "AI Kindergarten" is a basic course that helps citizens who are encountering AI for the first time to easily and familiarly utilize AI in their daily lives using smartphones and PCs, while "Completing Personal Branding Using AI" is a practical education course where participants use AI to materialize personal strengths and experiences into a brand and directly create content such as short-form videos and AI music.

Through such education, Anseong City plans to support middle-aged adults in growing as active agents in their local community, not simply as education beneficiaries, but by linking their experience and capabilities to new employment and social contribution.

Anseong Mayor Kim Bo-ra stated, "Middle-aged adults are important assets to our local community with extensive experience and expertise," and added, "I will actively support middle-aged citizens so that the capabilities they learn and develop at the Happy Campus can lead to new employment opportunities and social contribution, allowing them to serve as confident agents of our local community."
