Yangju Hoeamsa Site Museum will operate the '2026 Vibrant National Heritage - Hoeamsa Huга (休歌)' program on the 29th, which allows visitors to learn about the history and world heritage value of Yangju's Hoeamsa Site while enjoying leisure time.

The 'Hoeamsa Huга' program, prepared with support from the Cultural Heritage Administration, reinterprets the historical records and significance of the Hoeamsa Site in a contemporary manner and will be divided into two parts.

Part 1, 'Hoeamsa New Muchadeae,' consists of various programs including △wishing ribbons for world heritage registration △craft experiences making doorbells and keychains from artifacts excavated at the Hoeamsa Site △food experiences △photo booth and more.

The program was planned based on the 'Muchadeae,' a Buddhist ritual in which feasts are provided to the general public regardless of social status and goods are distributed, and historical records that Queen Munjeong of the Joseon Dynasty sought to hold a Muchadeae at Hoeamsa.

In Part 2, 'Hoeamsa Huга,' traditional magic and martial arts performances will be presented. Based on the historical significance of Yangju's Hoeamsa Site, where King Taejo Yi Seong-gye sought to establish a palace residence and royal masters and eminent monks practiced, the program will offer citizens weary from daily life time for rest and cultural enjoyment.

The event will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., offering a special time to experience the history and culture of the Hoeamsa Site through all five senses amid the late summer sunset and early autumn atmosphere.

An official from Yangju City said, "We hope this project will raise awareness of the world heritage value and charm of Yangju's Hoeamsa Site and provide an opportunity for citizens to directly experience it," adding, "We will continue to operate national heritage utilization programs that promote the history and culture of the local community."
