Yongin Special City Recruits 80 Private Members for 17th Architectural Committee
Yongin Special City (Mayor Lee Sang-il) announced it will publicly recruit 80 private members to serve on the 17th Architectural Committee to strengthen expertise in the architecture field and enhance fairness in deliberations.
The recruitment period runs from August 27 to September 10, and the term of appointed members will be two years from November 1 this year through October 31, 2028.
The Architectural Committee is a body that reviews and deliberates major matters related to architecture, including architectural permits and building demolition permits.
The committee plays a role in comprehensively reviewing various fields such as the appropriateness of architectural plans, building safety, landscape, traffic, landscaping, and disaster prevention to create a safe built environment and enhance the dignity and public value of the city.
Recruitment fields include 11 areas: △architectural planning △traffic planning △urban planning △architectural landscape △soil and foundation △building structure △landscaping △construction △building equipment △fire and disaster prevention △construction safety.
Applicant qualifications in relevant fields include: △associate professor level or higher from a university △holders of doctoral degrees with 5 or more years of practical experience, or holders of master's degrees with 7 or more years of practical experience △licensed engineers or architects with 5 or more years of practical experience △highly skilled technicians with engineer qualifications and 10 or more years of practical experience △experts at the level of research director in fields covered by research institutes funded by the government or local governments with 5 or more years of practical experience.
Applications should be submitted by downloading the application form and related documents from the Yongin City website's announcements and notices board, then submitting them with required documents by visiting the City's Architecture Division, sending them by registered mail (Architecture Division, 1st Separate Building, Yongin City Hall, 1199 Joongbu-daero, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province), or emailing (baemin00@korea.kr).
