Hwaseong City Hyohang District Health Center Launches AI-Based Child Growth Prediction…'How Tall Will My Child Be?'
[News S=Reporter Cheon Ui-hyeon] Hwaseong Special City's Hyohang District Health Center announced on the 24th that it will implement an AI-based smart health management program for children targeting 650 kindergarten students at four institutions in the area.
The program involves measuring height, weight, and body composition of children during their growth period, and analyzing the accumulated health big data through AI to predict the child's expected height, weight, and other growth indicators when they reach adulthood. Based on the prediction results, the health center will identify health risk factors and provide customized health management support.
The health center will complete pre-measurement of body metrics at each kindergarten by the 31st and will hold a parent briefing session next month to explain the program's direction and health management methods.
The measurement is not a one-time occurrence. The plan is to regularly manage health data to continuously monitor children's growth and weight changes, help foster correct lifestyle habits from early childhood, and increase parental engagement and interest.
The health center plans to analyze the program's effectiveness and expand the scope of subjects and programs in phases.
A health center official said, "This is a program we are launching for the first time in Hwaseong City," and added, "After observing parents' responses, we plan to hold a parent roundtable discussion in September."
