Gyeonggi Provincial Library Recruiting Participants for 'Youth × Studio' Program for Young Researchers and Creators
Gyeonggi Provincial Library is recruiting participants for the 'Youth × Studio' program until the 31st, which allows young people to freely conduct research and creative work using the library's spaces and resources.
The program targets four young researchers and creators aged 19-39 who reside in Gyeonggi Province or are enrolled in universities or graduate schools located in Gyeonggi Province as of the announcement date.
The recruitment is divided into two categories: 'Independent Researchers' in research fields such as library service design and living labs and community issue exploration, and 'Creators and Content Creators' in digital content creation fields including media art, webtoons, and web design.
Selected participants will be provided with individual workspaces on the 5th floor of Gyeonggi Provincial Library along with basic work environments including desks, office chairs, and cabinets for nine months from October 1 this year to June 30 next year. Participants must operate monthly open classes based on their research and creative activities, and share their experiences and achievements with residents by undertaking research and creative missions during their participation period.
Young people interested in participating should submit an application form, self-introduction and research/activity plan, portfolio, and personal information collection and use consent form by 6 p.m. on August 31 to the person in charge via email (kaddish@gg.go.kr).
Document screening results will be announced on September 8, followed by a presentation interview on September 15, with final successful candidates announced on September 30. Detailed recruitment information is available on the Gyeonggi Province and Gyeonggi Provincial Library websites, and inquiries can be directed to the Library Operations Team at Gyeonggi Provincial Library (031-8008-4625).
Yun Myung-hee, director of Gyeonggi Provincial Library, said, "Through Youth × Studio, residents will directly encounter the work world of young researchers and creators, and Gyeonggi Provincial Library will serve as a new cultural and creative platform connecting youth and the local community. We will actively support young people's research and creative work so that it extends beyond personal growth to be shared with residents and lead to new inspiration."
