Suwon Special City to Provide Fresh Fruit to Home-Reared Children

Suwon Special City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) is accepting applications for the '2026 Fresh Fruit Support Program for Home-Reared Children' until September 18.

The Fresh Fruit Support Program for Home-Reared Children provides fresh seasonal fruit to children receiving home-based childcare who do not use facilities such as daycare centers.

Eligible applicants must be registered as residents of Suwon City as of the application date and be children who did not use facilities such as daycare centers in August or September of this year and are receiving childcare allowances or parental subsidies (cash).

Selected families will receive one shipment of fruit bundles composed of domestically-produced seasonal fruit between October and December. Fruits produced in Gyeonggi Province will be prioritized for supply.

Applications can be made online through the Gyeonggi Civil Affairs 24 website (https://gg24.gg.go.kr) or by visiting the administrative welfare center of the dong where the child is registered.

A Suwon City official stated, "We hope children will develop healthy eating habits by consuming fresh seasonal fruit and grow strong," and added, "We also hope this will contribute to increased income for fruit farmers."
