Pyeongtaek International Exchange Foundation Operates Adult Conversation Programs for Second Half of Year
Pyeongtaek International Exchange Foundation (CEO Jung Jong-pil) announced it will operate adult English conversation programs targeting residents in the second half of the year and plans to expand opportunities for English learning in daily life.
The first-half 2026 adult English conversation program operated to strengthen language proficiency among Pyeongtaek residents concluded successfully. The program drew participation from approximately 420 residents and was conducted in level-based customized classes divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
The beginner class was operated as a practical conversation-focused course led by Korean instructors, while the intermediate class was composed of practical conversation lessons with foreign instructors of various nationalities. Advanced classes and Active English were operated as specialized programs at the South (Paengseong) Center. In particular, the advanced class conducted discussion and debate-style lessons on global issues, garnering high satisfaction from participants.
Additionally, Active English operated experience-based classes on diverse topics including cooking, coffee, aroma perfume, and AI pop songs, heightening interest and satisfaction in English learning.
Building on these achievements, the second half of 2026 will introduce more diverse programs in the 'Active English Class.' The course plans to further diversify experience-based English lessons combining English with hobbies such as leather crafting, watercolor painting, and café beverage making. The advanced class will operate discussion and debate lessons on various topics including English proficiency enhancement methods using AI, advertising, and media, aiming to strengthen residents' English utilization skills and global communication competencies.
CEO Jung Jong-pil stated, "For Pyeongtaek to advance as a global city with future competitiveness, it is important to develop not only residents' foreign language communication skills but also their capacity to adapt to changing environments such as AI," and added, "We will continue to expand diverse programs including education incorporating AI technology that allow residents and foreigners to learn and grow together."
The second-half 2026 adult English conversation program session 3 will be operated at the South (Paengseong), North (Jangdang), and West (Anjung) centers respectively. Registration for session 3 will be accepted from August 20 to 25. Classes will run as a two-month course beginning in September, and regular recruitment for session 4, which will operate from November to December, will take place from October 8 to 15.
