Yongin Special City accepts applications for small and medium manufacturing business environment improvement project
Yongin Special City (Mayor Lee Sang-il) announced on the 13th that it will accept applications for the 'business environment improvement project' targeting local small and medium manufacturers and knowledge industry centers until September 4.
The supported fields consist of five categories: infrastructure, labor environment, knowledge industry centers, work environment, and fire facilities, with support covering up to 80% of costs.
The infrastructure field supports road expansion and paving in areas densely populated with small and medium enterprises, as well as water supply and sewage, small bridge repairs, and rainwater pipe maintenance. Three or more businesses can apply jointly.
The labor environment field supports installation and renovation of dormitories, break rooms, cafeterias, and restrooms for small and medium manufacturers with an average sales of 2 billion won or less over the past three years. The maximum support is 40 million won.
The knowledge industry center field targets facilities that have been in operation for more than seven years after completion. Support of up to 60 million won is available for public facility renovation such as parking lots and restrooms, as well as renovation of old machine rooms.
The work environment field supports work space renovation, work tables, ventilation and dust collection devices, and LED lighting installation. Small manufacturing businesses with an average sales of 10 billion won or less over the past three years are eligible for support up to 20 million won.
The fire facility field is open to both small and medium enterprises (manufacturing) and knowledge industry centers. Support of up to 70 million won is provided for installation and renovation of fire facilities such as alarm equipment, wireless fire detectors, and automatic fire detection systems.
Companies wishing to receive support can submit application documents by visiting the Business Support Division or by mail. The city plans to select final beneficiaries in January 2027 after document review, on-site inspection, and deliberation by the Gyeonggi Province Enterprise Fostering and Support Strategy Council.
A city official stated, "Since we are supporting the installation and renovation of infrastructure such as roads, as well as workplaces, restrooms, and break rooms, we hope many businesses will take interest," and added, "We will continue to make efforts to improve infrastructure and working conditions to create a business-friendly environment."
Previously, the city provided approximately 500 million won to 31 local small and medium manufacturers through the business environment improvement project this year.
