[News S=Um In-yong Reporter] Guri Agricultural and Fishery Products Corporation (President Kim Jin-soo, hereinafter "the Corporation") signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 29th with Guri Post Office (hereinafter "Post Office") and Gyeonggi Guri Regional Self-Reliance Center (hereinafter "Center") to support enrollment in the 'Happy Insurance for 10,000 Won' targeted at vulnerable working groups in the region.

The 'Happy Insurance for 10,000 Won' is a public-interest injury insurance operated by the Korea Post Service headquarters that guarantees survivor consolation money, hospitalization expenses, surgery costs, and more in case of accidents.

This agreement was pursued to support stable working environments and improved livelihoods for a total of 300 people, including self-reliance workers affiliated with the Center who are working to achieve economic self-sufficiency and prospective self-reliance work candidates (gate personnel).

According to the business agreement, the Corporation will support the full personal contribution of 10,000 won per enrollee, while the Post Office will cover the remaining insurance premium as public welfare funds.

Additionally, the Center will support identification of eligible individuals, enrollment guidance, and application procedures. All 300 target individuals can now enroll in injury insurance without personal contribution burden and establish a safety net to prepare for unforeseen accidents.

President Kim Jin-soo of Guri Agricultural and Fishery Products Corporation stated, "Through this business agreement, it is very meaningful that we can provide practical safety nets to regional self-reliance workers earnestly striving for self-sufficiency," and added, "We will continue to listen to voices from the field and steadily expand social contribution activities that cooperate with the community to ensure substantive support reaches those in need."
