Pyeongtaek City Increases Incentive Rate for Pyeongtaek Love Gift Certificates to 10% for Chuseok Holiday
Pyeongtaek City (Mayor Choi Won-yong) announced that it will expand the incentive rate for Pyeongtaek Love Gift Certificates from the existing 8% to 10% throughout September in preparation for the Chuseok holiday.
Based on the monthly purchase limit of 700,000 won per person (500,000 won in card form and 200,000 won in paper form), residents can receive benefits of up to 70,000 won on a first-come, first-served basis until the budget is exhausted.
The city expects that this increase in incentives will help ease the financial burden on citizens preparing for the Chuseok holiday and revitalize local commerce overall.
Mayor Choi Won-yong stated, “I hope that the expanded incentive program implemented for the Chuseok holiday will contribute in some way to revitalizing the local economy,” and added, “Going forward, we will make efforts to expand the issuance of local currency so that more citizens can benefit and provide support to small merchants in the region.”
