Suwon Special City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) conducted risk assessments on 37 public facilities.

From May to July, professional institutions conducted risk assessment projects targeting public facilities including subcontracted work sites, libraries, administrative welfare centers, and employee cafeterias, providing support to departments facing difficulties in safety management expertise following the enforcement of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.

'Risk assessment' is a core system for establishing a self-regulatory accident prevention framework according to the Ministry of Employment and Labor's roadmap for reducing serious accidents. Through this risk assessment, Suwon City focused on identifying and managing major risk factors that could cause serious accidents such as asphyxiation, fire and explosion, falls, and overturning.

On the 11th, Suwon City held the '2026 Suwon City Risk Assessment Results Report Meeting' at the conference room of Suwon Agricultural and Aquatic Products Wholesale Market and shared the risk assessment results of 37 public facilities with approximately 120 supervisory personnel.

Suwon City plans to continue efforts to enhance the safety awareness of supervisory personnel, leading to practical accident prevention.

A Suwon City official stated, "We held the results report meeting to ensure that supervisory personnel clearly recognize risk factors on site and strengthen their capacity for serious accident prevention," adding, "Serious accidents can be prevented when safety and health measures under the Occupational Safety and Health Act are thoroughly implemented."
