Gyeonggi Province Sports Council Holds Practical Training for Local Sports Council Election Staff

[News S=Eom In-yong] The Gyeonggi Province Sports Council held "2026 Local Sports Council Chairman Election Training" on the 6th at the conference room on the 10th floor of the Sports Hall, targeting 31 city and county sports councils in the province.

The training was organized to enhance understanding of election procedures among city and county sports council staff members ahead of the 2026 local sports council chairman election.

A total of approximately 70 people attended, including office directors and election staff members in charge of chairman elections from the 31 city and county sports councils.

The training provided guidance on laws and regulations related to local sports council chairman elections, major schedules and procedures, political neutrality and restrictions on election involvement, and major violation cases. Pre- and on-site Q&A sessions were used to share standards for election work processing.

An official of the Gyeonggi Province Sports Council said, "For local sports council chairman elections to operate fairly and stably, it is important that field staff accurately understand the relevant regulations and procedures," and added, "We will continue to cooperate closely with city and county sports councils and provide necessary guidance and support to ensure smooth progress of election work."
