Haenggung-dong, Paldal-gu, Suwon Provides Major Cleaning Support for Households with Mental Illness

Haenggung-dong, Paldal-gu, Suwon (Chief Choi Young-hee) conducted a major cleaning operation on the 20th for households struggling to maintain their residential environment due to mental illness and physical difficulties.

The target household faced challenges in daily life and organization due to mental illness, compounded by physical health problems that made it difficult to properly clean the house and dispose of garbage. Particularly, residing on the third floor made it challenging to physically carry heavy waste down and dispose of it, causing the residential environment to deteriorate progressively.

Accordingly, Haenggung-dong selected the household as a case management target and coordinated cleaning services to organize accumulated household waste and garbage, clean the kitchen and living spaces, and help create a comfortable and safe residential environment.

Additionally, to support mental health management for the resident and their family, the Adult Mental Health Center was linked to provide counseling and mental health services. The office plans to continue monitoring the household to ensure the residential environment remains stable following the cleaning.

Chief Choi Young-hee of Haenggung-dong said, "Residents facing difficulties in daily life due to mental health and physical challenges require practical assistance tailored to their situations," adding, "Going forward, we will carefully monitor households in need and actively connect them with necessary welfare services so that residents can live in safer and more comfortable environments."
