[News S=Reporter Choi Hun-min] Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it will operate the '2026 Pet Swimming Culture Class Meongpu Meongpu' at the Baegot Hanul Park Seawater Experience Center from the 22nd to the 23rd for two days.

The event was organized to reflect the culture and leisure demands arising from the increasing number of households raising pets, and is planned to allow pet owners and their dogs to enjoy water play together while experiencing proper pet culture. The seawater experience center, which has finished its summer operations, will be utilized as a pet-exclusive space and newly showcased as a pet-friendly venue.

On the 22nd, the event will accommodate 300 medium and small-sized dogs, and on the 23rd, 200 large and medium-sized dogs, operating from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pet dog water play and safety education will be provided, along with supplementary programs including CPR training, pet massage, and health consultations.

Access is restricted for the five designated dangerous dog breeds, dogs with illnesses, and dogs without animal registration or identification tags.

Kim Ik-gyeom, director of the Siheung City Agricultural Technology Center, said, "This is an experiential program where citizens can naturally learn responsible pet culture," and urged broad public participation.

Inquiries can be made to the Animal Welfare Team.
