Democratic Party Gyeonggi Province Chairman Seo Young-seok: "I will work for the success of Choo Mi-ae's Gyeonggi provincial administration"

Rep. Seo Young-seok (Bucheon District A), elected chairman of the Democratic Party's Gyeonggi Provincial Committee, said, "I will unite the strength of 1.2 million Gyeonggi Party members to firmly support the success of the Lee Jae-myung administration and work together to make the success of Governor Choo Mi-ae's Gyeonggi provincial administration."

Chairman Seo was elected as provincial committee chairman at the 2nd regular Gyeonggi Provincial Party member convention held at Suwon Sports Complex on the 16th, receiving 68.07% in favor. He will lead the Gyeonggi Provincial Committee for the next two years, succeeding Rep. Kim Seung-won.

In his acceptance speech, Chairman Seo said, "Through the warm support and backing of fellow party members, I have taken on the heavy responsibility of serving as chairman of the Democratic Party's Gyeonggi Provincial Committee," and added, "I will create a victorious Gyeonggi Provincial Committee together with Gyeonggi party members."

Chairman Seo further emphasized, "I will work with fellow party members to achieve victory in the 2028 general elections and realize a second term in power in 2030."

As the new chairman, Seo will exercise nomination power for the 23rd National Assembly elections scheduled for April 12, 2028.
