[News S=Cheon Ui-hyun] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province is extending the operation of the "2026 Suwon National Heritage Night - Tenth Night, Suwon Yeon-hyang" through August 30.

Originally scheduled to be held from August 14 to 16 for three days, the event has been significantly expanded to a 17-day schedule due to the continuous flow of citizens and tourists as well as positive reviews.

The Suwon National Heritage Night is a summer night festival featuring performances, exhibitions, and hands-on experiences set against the backdrop of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Suwon Hwaseong Fortress and surrounding cultural facilities. This year marks the 10th edition of the event.

During the extended period, diverse programs will continue at three major venues: "Yongnyeon Gat-deung" and "Banghwa Bridge Lanterns" around Yongnyeon, "Hwahongmun Media Art" around Hwahongmun Gate, and nighttime lighting displays at Maehyang Bridge and Suwon Stream. The "Joseon Moonlight Market" and "Haenggung Willow Market," linked with the night opening of Hwaseong Haenggung Palace, will also run simultaneously.

A city official stated, "We hope more citizens and tourists will enjoy the beautiful night scenery of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress," and added, "We will actively promote the extended operation to provide practical assistance in revitalizing the local economy."
