Gyeonggi Province Company Supports Young Workers at Small Enterprises with 'Hearty Meal' Program
Gyeonggi Province Company announced on the 15th that it has signed an MOU with Gyeonggi Job Foundation and Hyundai Easywell to operate the ‘Hearty Meal, Last-Workday Lunch’ program.
Named ‘Lunch on the last working day of each month with Gyeonggi Province,’ the program is a community-focused support initiative targeting young workers employed at small and medium-sized enterprises in the province. The goal is to alleviate the financial burden on young workers and revitalize the Baedalchukkup delivery platform and local commerce.
Eligible applicants are young workers employed at small and medium-sized enterprises in Gyeonggi Province who are selected for the ‘2026 Young Worker Support Project’ promoted by Gyeonggi Job Foundation. Selected young workers will receive meal vouchers usable once per month through the public delivery app ‘Baedalchukkup.’
Under the agreement, Gyeonggi Province Company will oversee business operations including issuing Baedalchukkup vouchers, Gyeonggi Job Foundation will handle project planning, and Hyundai Easywell will manage the welfare platform and work to secure necessary funding for project implementation.
Tak Jung-sam, head of Gyeonggi Province Company, stated, “Gyeonggi Province Company has been working to provide welfare functions linked with Baedalchukkup, such as children's meal cards and an online store for female adolescent hygiene products,” and added, “Based on this MOU, we plan to address more welfare blind spots.”
