Preview Tourist Attractions and Public Facilities on Smartphones with 'Suwon 360° Tour' Service
Suwon Special Status City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) has launched the 'Suwon 360° Tour' service, which allows users to preview the interiors and surrounding spaces of tourist attractions and public facilities through 360° views on their smartphones.
Suwon 360° Tour is an immersive spatial information service that enables users to explore facility interiors and surrounding spaces as if they were on-site using smartphones and personal computers (PCs).
Suwon City is launching the service beginning with Namsuheon and Yeonghung Arboretum. Content has been produced focusing on public facility interiors difficult to provide through private map platforms and sections where road view service is unavailable.
From 360° panorama planning and photography to personal information editing including faces and vehicle license plates, panorama coding using artificial intelligence (AI), and linkage with the living geography information system, all processes were conducted by city staff, enabling the service implementation without additional budget allocation.
The service is available on various devices including mobile phones and tablets and can be accessed through Suwon City's living geography information system (https://www.suwon.go.kr:38083/1/system).
An official from Suwon City stated, "We hope citizens and tourists can more easily and conveniently access the spatial information they need through Suwon 360° Tour," and added, "We will expand content to various fields including tourism, public facilities, and disaster safety based on citizen demand."
