Hwaseong Talent Development Foundation Awards Scholarships to 797 Students
The Hwaseong Talent Development Foundation held the ‘2026 Scholarship Certificate Presentation Ceremony’ on the 13th at the main hall of Dawoniyeum Culture Center.
The ceremony was organized under the slogan ‘A Shining Star in Hwaseong, Talent to Brighten the World!’ to celebrate and encourage scholarship recipients selected in the first half of 2026.
The event was attended by Cho Seung-moon, Vice Mayor of Hwaseong Special City; Lee Gye-cheol, President of Hwaseong Special City Council; Jang Chul-gyu, Vice Chair of the Culture and Sports Committee of Hwaseong Special City Council; and Council Members Shin Dong-hee, Yoo Ji-hye, and Jang Dong-hee, who congratulated the scholarship recipients on their new beginnings. The gathering was made more meaningful by the attendance of approximately 350 scholarship recipients, parents, and guardians.
The foundation selected a total of 797 scholarship recipients in the first half of this year, comprising △500 Dream Dream scholarship recipients △100 housing support scholarship recipients △9 overseas study scholarship recipients △3 Yunseong and Yi Gang-nyeo scholarship recipients △4 Nonghyup scholarship recipients △2 BioPak P&P scholarship recipients △179 The Dream scholarship recipients.
Vice Mayor Cho Seung-moon stated, “I hope this scholarship will help students discover their potential and take another step toward their dreams,” and added, “We will continue to create growth opportunities so that our students can develop their capabilities on a wider stage beyond Hwaseong.”
Meanwhile, the foundation plans to additionally select ‘Specialized Skills Scholarship’ and ‘The Dream Scholarship’ recipients among elementary, middle, and high school students in the region in September. In October, the foundation will distribute the ‘Konai Inc. Small Business Owner Scholarship’ to university-age children of local small business owners, with plans to provide scholarship benefits to a total of 1,101 scholarship recipients this year.
