Hwaseong Special City Installs 8 Cooling Fans Along Golden Coast Road

Hwaseong Special City completed the installation of cooling fans at 8 major sections along the Golden Coast Road on the 7th to enable citizens and tourists to use the route more safely and comfortably in response to summer heat waves.

The installation of cooling fans was undertaken to reduce visitor inconvenience caused by extreme heat and prevent heat-related illnesses. The city comprehensively considered on-site accessibility and usage frequency, positioning cooling fans at high-traffic locations and establishing rest areas to escape the heat.

Consequently, citizens and tourists visiting the Golden Coast Road during extreme heat waves will be able to briefly cool off and rest while on the move, making it possible to use the route more safely and comfortably.

The city plans to install an additional 8 cooling fans following the 8 units currently installed. Upon completion of the additional installations, a total of 16 cooling fans will operate along the Golden Coast Road, and the summer usage environment is expected to improve significantly.
