Gyeonggi Lifelong Education Promotion Institute Hosts Free English Musical Performance Enjoyed 'Together' with 'Value'
The Gyeonggi Lifelong Education Promotion Institute hosted a free performance of the English musical ‘School For Monsters’ on the 6th at Gyeonggi Future Education Yangpyeong Campus, inviting children and youth from the local community.
The performance was attended by approximately 430 participants from 11 institutions and organizations within Yangpyeong County, including kindergartens, community children's centers, youth rest cafes, family centers, and students linked through the Office of Education. Unlike last year's event, which focused primarily on kindergarten students, this year's program expanded participation to include children, youth, and socially disadvantaged groups.
The English musical ‘School For Monsters’ presented that day was structured around friends working together to solve various incidents, learning the importance of friendship and cooperation.
Kim Gyeong-han, director of Gyeonggi Future Education Yangpyeong Campus, said, "We planned this performance so that socially disadvantaged groups and members of the community, who have relatively fewer opportunities for cultural and educational experiences, could enjoy it together," adding, "Going forward, we will continue to establish various educational and cultural programs that can be shared with the community, expanding our role as a public educational institution."
Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Future Education Yangpyeong Campus plans to begin with this English musical performance and operate special outdoor swimming pool events and cultural and experiential programs in which various groups, including local children, youth, and people with disabilities, can participate.
