Guri City Mokmin Wonwoo Volunteer Association Holds Samgyetang Sharing Event

[News S=Reporter Eom In-yong] The Guri City Mokmin Wonwoo Volunteer Association (Chairman Yang Jong-hwan) held a Samgyetang Sharing Event for the elderly on the 25th at the Living Sports Center of Donggu-dong Administrative Welfare Center.

The event was attended by approximately 200 people, including members of the Mokmin Wonwoo Volunteer Association, the Donggu-dong Saemaul Women's Association, and the Saemaul Leaders Council, who personally prepared samgyetang, side dishes, and fruit and served them with care to the elderly.

Yang Jong-hwan, chairman of the Mokmin Wonwoo Volunteer Association, said, "I feel a sense of fulfillment in serving carefully prepared samgyetang to our elderly on Bok day" and added, "I hope we were able to provide some encouragement to our elderly who are enduring the hot summer."

Mayor Shin Dong-hwa said, "I sincerely thank the Mokmin Wonwoo Volunteer Association and members of local organizations including the Donggu-dong Saemaul Women's Association and Saemaul Leaders Council for arranging this meaningful event so that our elderly can spend a healthy summer." He added, "During this period of extreme heat, we will do our best to ensure that our elderly spend the summer safely and healthily."
