NH Nonghyup Bank Yeoju Branch and Yeoju South Branch Sign Agreement with Yeoju City on 'Financial Services Support for Foreign Seasonal Workers'
[News S=Reporter Eom In-yong] NH Nonghyup Bank's Yeoju Branch (Branch Manager Lee Su-won) and Yeoju South Branch (Branch Manager Jeong Chun-bok) signed a business agreement (MOU) on 'Financial Services Support for Foreign Seasonal Workers' with Yeoju City at Yeoju City Hall on the 24th.
Foreign seasonal workers have faced difficulties opening salary accounts due to busy schedules after entry, leading to risks of cash loss and wage delays. Additionally, language barriers have resulted in longer processing times at banks.
Through this agreement, NH Nonghyup Bank's Yeoju Branch and Yeoju South Branch will receive key business schedules, including entry dates for seasonal workers, from Yeoju City and pre-open salary accounts to resolve such inconveniences.
The bank also plans to provide various services to enhance financial convenience for seasonal workers, including interpretation and translation guides, dedicated foreign customer service counters, financial education for employer farmers, and preferential rates on overseas remittance and currency exchange fees.
Branch Manager Lee Su-won said, “We are pleased to provide safe and convenient financial services to foreign seasonal workers, which will help establish a stable living environment for workers and address labor shortages in regional farms.” He added, “We plan to continue providing various services including financial support for seasonal workers and contributing to agricultural and rural development.”
