Guri Mok Min Volunteer Association Carries Out 'Love Home Repair Service' for Vulnerable Residents in Donggu-dong

[News S=Reporter Eom In-yong] The Guri Mok Min Volunteer Association (Chairman Yoon Jae-geun) carried out a home repair volunteer service on the 11th to improve the living environment for 2 low-income elderly households living alone in Donggu-dong despite the intense heat wave.

The volunteer activity was carried out in connection with the '2026 Guri City Public Activity Group Fostering and Support Project,' with about 20 volunteers including Mok Min Volunteer Association members and Infantry Division 73 (Commander Jung Young-gyu) participating to practice warm sharing.

The volunteer activity was conducted in the form of comprehensively improving the living environment of aging housing, including △wallpaper and flooring replacement △window installation.

In particular, outdated and inconvenient living spaces were organized into safe and comfortable environments, enabling the beneficiaries to lead more comfortable and stable daily lives.

Chairman Yoon Jae-geun said, "Though it is a small gesture, I hope it has been of practical help to the elderly's lives," and added, "Going forward, we will take the lead in practicing neighborly love and creating a warm community through various volunteer activities together with the local community."
