Emergency Medical Services to Cultural Facilities Open…Suwon Special City Implements Comprehensive Chuseok Holiday Plan

Suwon Special City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) has established and is implementing a comprehensive plan for the 2026 Chuseok holiday period.

On the 16th, Suwon City held the '2026 Chuseok Holiday Comprehensive Plan Briefing' presided over by Mayor Lee Jae-jun at the City Hall Disaster and Safety Situation Room, and reviewed the comprehensive plan.

The comprehensive plan consists of five areas: △building a comprehensive safety system including accident prevention △practicing warm neighborly love △minimizing inconvenience to residents' daily lives △supporting safe cultural and leisure activities △and establishing public official conduct standards.

During the Chuseok holiday period (September 24-27), Suwon City will operate a comprehensive response team to swiftly coordinate and handle incidents and accidents as they occur, and resolve resident inconveniences.

Additionally, an emergency medical care system will be established during the holiday period to minimize gaps in medical services. Ten emergency rooms at 24-hour general hospitals and hospitals will be in operation. Information about medical institutions and pharmacies open during the holiday can be found on the Emergency Medical Portal (www.e-gen.or.kr).

Measures to minimize inconvenience to residents' daily lives include △intensive cleaning periods △emergency water supply and sewage repair teams △and management and monitoring of holiday necessities.

There are many places for citizens to visit during the Chuseok holiday. Hwaseong Haenggung will be free to visit on Chuseok Day (September 25), and the Jeongjo Theme Performance Hall, Suwon Traditional Culture Center, and Suwon Media Center will operate normally during the holiday period.

The Suwon Museum, Suwon Gwanggyo Museum, Suwon Hwaseong Museum, and Suwon Municipal Art Museum will operate normally during the holiday period, and free admission is available on Chuseok Day (September 25). The Suwon Arboretum will also operate normally during the holiday period.

Suwon City will actively promote the comprehensive Chuseok holiday plan and places worth visiting through its homepage and social media (SNS).

Mayor Lee Jae-jun stated, "We must seamlessly carry out price management, safety inspections, and support for vulnerable groups in forest fire prevention so that citizens can spend the Chuseok holiday comfortably and safely," and urged, "Guide citizens so they can easily find hospitals and pharmacies operating during the holiday period."
