Lee Dong-gi Takes Office as 8th Vice Mayor of Suwon Special City

Lee Dong-gi took office as the 8th Vice Mayor of Suwon Special City on the 14th.

The newly appointed vice mayor received his appointment letter from Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun at his office that day and began his duties.

The newly appointed vice mayor previously served as an administrator in the Presidential Secretariat during the Roh Moo-hyun administration, civic monitor for transparent governance at the Small Business Corporation, non-standing director at the Korea Mine Reclamation Corporation, vice chair of the Policy Committee and director of the Democratic Research Institute of the Democratic Party, and president of the Construction Industry Information Institute.

Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun said, "Vice Mayor Lee Dong-gi is a figure who understands the central government, understands local government, and understands the field," and added, "I hope he will actively promote the value of Suwon and play a role in facilitating cooperation between the central government, Gyeonggi Province, and Suwon City."
