Hwaseong City Culture and Tourism Foundation Opens 'Hwaseong Children's Future Architecture School'
Hwaseong City Culture and Tourism Foundation announced that it held the opening ceremony for 'Hwaseong Children's Future Architecture School' on the 22nd at the First Exhibition Hall of Hwaseong Open Culture and Arts Space.
Approximately 100 people attended the opening ceremony, including children and guardians participating in the workshop, members of the Hwaseong Special Metropolitan City Council, and professors from the Department of Architecture at Kyonggi University.
This program is a participatory educational and exhibition program in which children imagine and create a future space city. It is significant in that children implemented their own ideas as works of art together with architects and education experts and completed a single future city.
At the exhibition venue, the 'Dream Space City' completed by children and architects is displayed alongside works by photographer Lee Jae-gyun featuring space as a theme.
Ahn Pil-yeon, president and CEO of Hwaseong City Culture and Tourism Foundation, said, "We hope that children's free imagination will be conveyed through architecture and art as a new vision of the future."
The exhibition operates free of charge until September 19, and more details can be found on the foundation's website.
