The Hwaseong City Culture and Tourism Foundation announced that it held an opening ceremony for the 'Hwaseong Children's Future Architecture School' on the 22nd at the First Exhibition Hall of Hwaseong Open Cultural Arts Space.

The opening ceremony was attended by approximately 100 people, including workshop participants and their guardians, as well as members of the Hwaseong Special City Council and professors from Kyonggi University's Department of Architecture.

The program is a participatory educational and exhibition program where children imagine and create a future space city themselves. It is significant in that the children implemented their own ideas as artworks alongside architects and education specialists and completed a future city together.

The exhibition features the 'Dream Space City' completed by children and architects, along with works by photographer Lee Jae-gyun themed around space.

Ahn Phil-yeon, CEO of the Hwaseong City Culture and Tourism Foundation, said, "I hope that children's free imagination will be conveyed through architecture and art as a new vision of the future."

The exhibition will operate free of charge through September 19, and more details can be found on the foundation's website.
