Ohyun Elementary Tee Ball Team Dominates Gyeonggi Province Stage…Girls Elementary Division Champions and Boys Elementary Division Runners-up [Our Neighborhood S]

Suwon's Ohyun Elementary School tee ball team simultaneously captured the girls elementary division championship and the boys elementary division runner-up finish at the '2026 Gyeonggi School Sports Club Festival' tee ball tournament.

At the two-day tournament held from the 5th at Hwaseong Dream Park, Ohyun Elementary's girls elementary division won all games except the final with mercy-rule victories and advanced to the championship match. In the final, they defeated Okcheon Elementary 19-13 to secure back-to-back championships.

The boys elementary division also advanced to the finals by winning all games except the semifinal and final with mercy-rule victories, finishing as runners-up. This is the best record in Ohyun Elementary's boys elementary division tee ball history.

The team is now preparing for the national tournament.

Han Ju-won (13), captain of the girls elementary division, said, "I will be stepping on the tee ball stage of a national tournament for the second consecutive year. Since this is my final national tournament as an elementary school student, I am determined to take the crown this year."

Kim Min-gyu (13), captain of the boys elementary division, said, "While the runners-up finish is disappointing, I am happy that we have set the best record in our school's boys elementary division history. Now we will run alongside and cheer for our girls elementary division team's championship at the national tournament."

Principal Choi Hyun-young of Ohyun Elementary said, "The sweat our students shed every day and the values of cooperation and consideration they learned through sports have resulted in an excellent outcome," and added, "We will spare no effort in providing active support for our students as they move toward the dream of becoming the national champions."
