Uiwang City (Mayor Kim Sung-je) announced that the '2026 Uiwang Arts Festival' will be held at Wangsong Lake Park on September 12 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Organized by the Uiwang Branch of the Korean Federation of Arts and Culture Organizations (hereafter Uiwang Arts Federation), this arts festival will feature diverse programs including performances, exhibitions, competitions, and experiential activities, with participation from seven artistic groups under the branch—literature, traditional music, dance, visual arts, music, entertainment, and photographers—as well as local community culture and arts practitioners.

The outdoor stage will feature traditional music, dance, and music performances, along with diverse performances by community culture and arts teams. In the evening, the 'Second Uiwang City Wangsong Lake Song Festival,' where citizens become the stars of the stage themselves, and congratulatory performances by invited singers will follow, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Additionally, on the Wangsong Lake Park wetland deck, an art exhibition 'Beautiful Wangsong Lake Together Exhibition,' a photography exhibition 'Between Light and Wind,' and a calligraphy exhibition 'Traces of Early Modern Poetry in Korea 2' will run through September 19.

Meanwhile, the venue will feature diverse experiential programs that the whole family can enjoy, including the '2026 Beautiful Wangsong Lake Writing and Drawing Contest,' experience booths, flea markets, food trucks, and magic and bubble shows.

Particularly, this year the event venue is designed with an 'autumn outing and camping' concept, allowing citizens to enjoy cultural arts, food, and experiences amid the autumn atmosphere of Wangsong Lake while savoring the romance of a leisurely autumn day.

Mayor Kim Sung-je said, "I hope the Uiwang Arts Festival becomes a meaningful celebration where local artists and citizens come together harmoniously," adding, "We will continue to support the creative activities of local artists and expand opportunities for citizens to enjoy cultural arts."
