Gyeonggi Province Disability Rehabilitation Association Holds '36th Blue Bird Camp'...Recruiting Participating Families

The Gyeonggi Province Disability Rehabilitation Association (Chairman Lee Young-jae) announced that it will hold the '2026 Gyeonggi Province In-Home Disabled Youth Family Camp, the 36th Blue Bird Camp' to promote healthy growth of in-home disabled youth and families within Gyeonggi Province and to enhance communication and bonding among family members.

The Blue Bird Camp, now in its 36th year, is a family-participatory program designed to support the physical and emotional development of in-home disabled youth and improve their rehabilitation capabilities, allowing disabled youth and their families to experience various activities together away from their daily routines.

The camp will be held in two sessions from October 24 to 26, with the entire Pocheon Mint Glamping facility being reserved for operations. A total of 42 families (84 people), with 21 families per session, will participate, and participating families may choose their preferred session from the first or second sessions.

Participating families will be provided with camping accommodations and meals for each household, and experience programs including bonfire viewing, woodworking experiences (1st session: making cutting boards, 2nd session: making natural wood trays), treasure hunting, and family photo shoots will be offered.

Recruitment of participants continues until September 30. Selection will be made considering income level, participation history, and regional balance. Applications and inquiries can be made to the Association (031-203-1665~6).

An official from the Association stated, "We hope that the 36th Blue Bird Camp will be a time for disabled youth and their families to step away from the burdens of daily life, understand and communicate with each other, and create joyful memories," and added, "We will continue to prepare various programs to support the healthy growth and quality of life improvement of in-home disabled youth and their families."
