Suwon Paldal-gu District Concludes District Chief Cup Community Sports Rope Jumping Competition

Paldal-gu District in Suwon City (District Chief Hwang Kyudon) held the "Paldal-gu District Chief Cup Community Sports Rope Jumping Competition" on the 22nd at the Dream Gymnasium of the Suwon Youth Culture Center to enhance residents' basic fitness and share the joy of community sports.

Organized by Paldal-gu District and sponsored by the Paldal-gu Rope Jumping Association, the competition was held as the midpoint event of this year's Paldal-gu District Chief Cup Sports Competition (the 5th of 9 total events), following Jokgu, gateball, Go, and e-sports.

The competition drew approximately 200 rope jumping enthusiasts from the district, with competitions held across youth, high school, and general divisions, and participants competed in individual and team events within categories divided by age and competition type.

In particular, for young participants, the competition served as an opportunity to develop physical fitness and concentration through rope jumping and learn the value of fair competition, while for high school and general division participants, it became a venue for unity where they could maintain exercise habits in their daily lives and expand networking among fellow enthusiasts.

Jin Jae-seok, Chairman of the Suwon Rope Jumping Association, said, "It was meaningful to have participants ranging from children to adult enthusiasts gather in one place to share the joy of rope jumping," and "We are grateful to Paldal-gu for providing this festival venue."

District Chief Hwang Kyudon stated, "Rope jumping is a community sports activity that anyone can easily enjoy while simultaneously developing physical fitness, concentration, and cooperation. We hope that this competition, with diverse generations from youth to general divisions participating together, will serve as an opportunity to spread healthy leisure culture and bring vitality to our local community."
