Book Concert Held on 29th at 'Old Sohwa Elementary School,' National Registered Cultural Heritage Site
A book concert titled 'Take Courage' sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Suwon Preservation Foundation will be held at Buksudong Cathedral, where the Old Sohwa Elementary School building is located.
This book concert is part of the 'Vibrant National Heritage Project,' a National Heritage Service public competition, and is held with support from the National Heritage Service and Suwon City. The event was organized to allow citizens to experience Suwon's modern cultural heritage by utilizing the nationally registered cultural heritage site 'Old Sohwa Elementary School.'
The first book concert held on the 22nd featured author Kim Tak-hwan, who wrote 'Love and Revolution 1·2·3.' Following traditional Korean music and classical cultural performances, author lectures, book talks, and Q&A sessions were conducted.
At 4 p.m. on the 29th, author Kong Ji-young, who wrote 'I Will Support Whatever Life You Live 2,' will participate. The event will proceed in the same order as the first book concert, and following the event, author signings and individual photo sessions will take place.
A Suwon City official stated, "We hope citizens will take interest in and understand the value of Suwon's modern cultural heritage, including the 'Old Sohwa Elementary School,'" and added, "We will continue to create opportunities for citizens to appreciate cultural heritage in various ways."
