Gyeonggi Province Sports Council Holds Practical Training for Local Sports Council Election Staff
[News S=Reporter Eom In-yong] The Gyeonggi Province Sports Council held ‘2026 Local Sports Council Election-Related Training’ on the 6th in the conference room on the 10th floor of the Sports Center, targeting 31 city and county sports councils in the province.
The training was organized to enhance the understanding of city and county sports council staff regarding election procedures ahead of the 2026 local sports council chairperson election.
Approximately 70 people attended, including administrative directors of 31 city and county sports councils and staff in charge of chairperson election operations.
The training provided guidance on laws and regulations related to the local sports council chairperson election, major schedules and procedures, political neutrality and election involvement restrictions, and major violation cases, while sharing election operation processing standards through preliminary and on-site question-and-answer sessions.
An official from the Gyeonggi Province Sports Council stated, “For the local sports council chairperson election to be operated fairly and stably, accurate understanding of relevant regulations and procedures by on-site staff is important,” and added, “We will continue to cooperate closely with city and county sports councils to provide necessary guidance and support so that election operations can proceed smoothly.”
