Hwaseong City Accepts Additional Applicants for Care-Assured Housing 'Jinan On (溫) Eumchae': 9 Units

Hwaseong City (Mayor Jung Myung-geun) is accepting additional applicants for care-assured housing ‘Jinan On (溫) Eumchae,’ which supports seniors requiring care to live healthy and safe lives in their local communities during their retirement years.

This recruitment follows the previous recruitment in June and accepts additional applicants for 9 units available for long-term occupancy. Applicants must have their household registration and reside in Hwaseong City as of the announcement date, September 4, 2026, be 65 years of age or older, be a member of a household with no housing, and be either a national basic livelihood security recipient or a near-poor household member who is an integrated care target requiring both housing and care due to a crisis situation.

Residents will be selected in order of highest scores based on scoring criteria including length of residence in Hwaseong City, age, and degree of care need.

The care-assured housing ‘Jinan On (溫) Eumchae’ is located in Jinan-dong, Byeongjeom District, with a dedicated area of 43.53㎡ (approximately 13.16 pyeong) per unit, featuring two rooms, a living room, kitchen, and bathroom. To accommodate seniors, basic appliances and furniture are provided, and artificial intelligence (AI) digital care services are offered for each unit to ensure residents’ safe living.

The initial lease term is 2 years, with the option to renew in 2-year units thereafter, allowing residents to live for up to 10 years maximum. The monthly rent is 266,650 won; basic livelihood security recipients have no out-of-pocket costs, while near-poor households receive a 50% reduction. Management fees and utility costs are borne by residents.

Applications are accepted from September 4 (Friday) to September 15 (Tuesday) by visiting the care team at the community service center of one’s residential address. Selected residents are scheduled to move in sequentially beginning in October.

Lee Yeon-ok, head of the Integrated Care Division, stated, “‘Jinan On (溫) Eumchae’ goes beyond simply providing residential space—it is a place where seniors requiring care can receive support for both housing and care, enabling them to live stably in their familiar local communities,” and added, “We will provide careful support so that seniors experiencing difficulties in receiving care due to housing issues can access necessary services in a more stable environment.”
