Suwon Designated IBK Corporate Bank as City Treasurer Through 2030...to Handle Revenue and Expenditure
Suwon Special Status City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) has selected 'IBK Corporate Bank' as the bank to operate the city treasury for four years from 2027 to 2030.
Suwon City and IBK Corporate Bank signed a 'Suwon Special Status City Treasury Agreement' at the City Hall conference room on the 3rd.
IBK Corporate Bank will perform treasury operations including collection of various municipal revenues, disbursement of municipal expenditures, and custody of funds and reserves from January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2030.
Suwon City's current city treasury agreement with IBK Corporate Bank and its designated institution expires on December 31 of this year. Following regulations from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Suwon City Treasury Designation Ordinance, the city held a 'Suwon City Treasury Designation Review Committee' to review detailed items before selecting IBK Corporate Bank as the next city treasurer bank.
Suwon Special Status City Mayor Lee Jae-jun and IBK Corporate Bank President Jang Min-young attended the agreement ceremony.
IBK Corporate Bank President Jang Min-young stated, "We are honored to serve once again as Suwon City's treasury keeper," and added, "We will actively participate in startup and innovative enterprise investments in Suwon City and financial support for small business owners to contribute to Suwon's development."
Suwon City Mayor Lee Jae-jun said, "We appreciate IBK Corporate Bank for being a reliable partner with us," and expressed hope that "Suwon City and IBK Corporate Bank will grow together."
