Hwaseong Special City Conducts 'Social Welfare Competency Enhancement Training' for 29 Eup/Myeon/Dong Chiefs

Hwaseong Special City (Mayor Jung Myung-geun) conducted social welfare competency enhancement training for 29 eup·myeon·dong chiefs at YBM Training Center on the 28th.

The training was organized to deepen understanding of the community-centered integrated care system and to clarify the roles of managers and collaborative directions within organizations following the placement of nursing staff civil servants in eup·myeon·dong units.

Professor Bae Ji-young from the Korea Health Personnel Institute and Professor Yun Ju-young from Seoul National University College of Nursing, both experts in integrated care policies and regional welfare, participated as instructors for the training.

Professor Bae Ji-young conducted a lecture on the theme of 'Changes in integrated care policy and the role that eup·myeon·dong should perform in local communities'. Subsequently, Professor Yun Ju-young presented effective collaboration methods in the health and welfare sectors on the theme of 'Managers' roles and collaborative directions within organizations following the placement of nursing staff civil servants in eup·myeon·dong units'.

Hwaseong Special City plans to strengthen the linkage of local care resources centered on eup·myeon·dong in response to changing health and welfare administrative demands, and to provide integrated care services that residents can feel in their daily lives.

Mayor Jung Myung-geun of Hwaseong Special City stated, "For integrated care to reach citizens' daily lives closely, the role of eup·myeon·dong, which is closest to citizens, and cooperation between health and welfare sectors are important," and added, "We hope this training will provide practical help in discovering and linking care resources suited to each region's conditions."
