Yongin Special Status City (Mayor Lee Sang-il) announced on the 28th that it will operate a 'Chuseok Holiday Special Cashback Program' that returns 10% of local currency payment amounts to activate the local economy during the Chuseok holiday.
The program covers payments made with Yongin Y-Pay from September 18 to 27. The city will provide 10% of the amount paid by Yongin Y-Pay users during this period.
The maximum payment limit per person is 30,000 won, and amounts paid as policy allowances and incentives are excluded from the program.
Separately from this program, the monthly local currency incentive of 10% will be maintained at the same level.
Monthly incentives will be provided up to a maximum of 30,000 won per person within a charging limit of 300,000 won, and the city plans to continuously support sustained consumption promotion and local economic activation.
A city official stated, "We have prepared the 'Chuseok Holiday Special Cashback Program' to promote consumer spending in the region and increase sales for small business owners during the major national holiday of Chuseok," adding, "We will continue to implement policies supporting people's livelihoods using local currency to enhance benefits that citizens can feel and provide practical support for the sales recovery of local small business owners."
