Osan City Urges Citizens to Use High Oil Price Relief Funds by August 31
Osan City announced that it is urging citizens who have not yet used their high oil price relief funds to do so before the deadline of August 31.
The relief funds must be used by August 31, and any remaining balance not used by the deadline will automatically expire and cannot be used thereafter. The funds can be used at traditional markets and neighborhood marts as well as small business establishments with annual sales of 3 billion won or less.
For credit and check cards, remaining balances can be checked through the respective card company's app or customer service center. For prepaid cards, the balance can be checked through the customer service center on the back of the card (1644-5330, service number 1→2→2). For Gyeonggi Regional Currency, balances can be checked through the dedicated app or customer service center (1899-7997).
A city official stated, "Since any remaining relief funds cannot be used after the deadline expires, we urge citizens to check their balances in advance and use all funds within the deadline."
The city is also informing senior centers and welfare facilities about the deadline and balance inquiry methods. Previously, the city distributed a total of 22.6 billion won in relief funds to approximately 183,000 residents.
