Gyeonggi Ceramic Biennale Offers Free Admission Tickets and Discount Events

The Korea Ceramic Foundation has prepared various benefits for visitors ahead of the '2026 Gyeonggi Ceramic Biennale' opening on September 18, including free admission tickets for ceramic product purchasers and advance booking discounts.

Starting from August 19, the foundation is giving two '2026 Gyeonggi Ceramic Biennale integrated admission tickets' to customers who purchase ceramic products worth 30,000 won or more at the Yeoju Ceramic World ceramic sales store and the Gyeonggi Province Government Culture Lounge 'Gyeonggi Ceramic Shop'.

The integrated admission ticket allows visitors to view the biennale exhibitions held in three regions—Icheon, Gwangju, and Yeoju—once per region. Admission tickets are distributed on-site after confirming the purchase receipt, based on one transaction. The event will end once the prepared 400 admission tickets are sold out.

Additionally, the foundation provides advance booking discounts through Ticketlink and Naver until September 17, the day before the biennale opens.

The advance booking integrated admission ticket is priced at 7,000 won for the general public, a 36% discount from the regular price of 11,000 won, while eligible discounted visitors can purchase it for 4,000 won. Individual tickets can be purchased at 3,500 won for Icheon and 2,500 won for Gwangju and Yeoju.

Previously, the foundation sold out all 4,000 special discount admission tickets in connection with the Republic of Korea Art Festival, confirming high interest in the biennale. The foundation plans to continue various visitor participation events and promotions until the opening to boost biennale attendance.

Ryu In-gwon, representative director of the Korea Ceramic Foundation, said, "Through this event, I hope the joy of purchasing ceramic products will lead to visiting the biennale, and it will become an opportunity to experience ceramic culture more closely in daily life. I expect that with increased activation of both ceramic product sales and biennale visits, more people will encounter the diverse charms of ceramics."

Meanwhile, the 2026 Gyeonggi Ceramic Biennale is the nation's only international ceramic art festival, running for 45 days from September 18 to November 1 in Icheon, Gwangju, and Yeoju. It showcases various exhibitions and programs including international ceramic exhibitions, master craftsman exhibitions, collection exhibitions, ceramic experiences, and art flea markets.
