Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun Purchases Chuseok Supplies at Gumaetan Traditional Market

On the 16th, ahead of the Chuseok holiday, Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun shopped at Gumaetan Traditional Market and met with merchants and citizens visiting the market.

The mayor purchased food and groceries using Omnus gift certificates and visited various locations throughout the market to chat with merchants. The items purchased that day will be donated to social welfare facilities.

In preparation for Chuseok, Suwon City is implementing a 'senior civil servants' traditional market shopping' initiative. Department heads and bureau chiefs will visit sister traditional markets from September 8th to 18th to shop and contribute to revitalizing the use of traditional markets.

Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun said, "As we celebrate the Chuseok holiday, I hope citizens will purchase quality ancestral ritual supplies and festive foods at reasonable prices from traditional markets."
